The best Mobbin alternatives in 2026, and when Mobbin is still the right call
An honest comparison of Refero, Page Flows, SaaSFrame, Banani and Screenrove: what each one covers, what it costs, and which ones work with a coding agent.
Mobbin is the default answer when someone asks where to find real app screens, and for good reason. It is large, well organized and covers both mobile and web. People still go looking for alternatives, usually for one of three reasons: the free plan leaves out flows, search and the MCP server; they mainly build for the web and want deeper SaaS coverage; or they now build with a coding agent and want references that agent can use directly.
Recent threads in design communities show the same frustrations. Designers say it has become harder to find product screens among the marketing pages, and one person cancelled because the MCP server could not follow a single app and screen ZIP downloads had gone. Those are specific gaps, and different alternatives fill different ones.
The short answer
| Library | Best for | Price | Works with agents |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mobbin | The biggest mobile and web library | Free plan with limits; Pro $10/month billed yearly; Team $16 per member | MCP on paid plans |
| Refero | Web and iOS research with styles and flows | Free (about 3% of the library); Pro $10/month, $120 a year | MCP on Pro, Team and Lifetime |
| Page Flows | Recorded user journeys with annotations | $99 a year or $39 a quarter; $2.95 three-day trial | None listed |
| SaaSFrame | SaaS websites, product UI and emails, with Figma files | $14/month or $139 a year | None listed |
| Banani references | Free mobile app screens | Free, no sign-up | Edits screens in Banani’s own AI designer |
| Screenrove | Web products, measured design guides and agent handoff | Free, no account | Free MCP server and REST API |

Refero
Refero is the closest like-for-like replacement. It covers web apps and iOS apps, step-by-step user flows from signup to cancellation, and a newer Styles section. Its search is the main reason people switch. The free plan is a real trial rather than a usable tier: roughly 3% of the collection and three research searches a day. Pro is $10 a month on an annual plan, about the same as Mobbin Pro, and includes Refero’s MCP server.
Pick it if you want a Mobbin-sized habit at a similar price, with better filtering for web and SaaS patterns.
Page Flows
Page Flows records complete journeys as video with step annotations, alongside screens and UI elements. If you need to see how an onboarding sequence moves, including the in-between states a screenshot library skips, video is hard to beat. It is $99 a year or $39 a quarter, and there is a $2.95 three-day trial. We found no MCP or agent integration on its site.
Pick it if motion and sequence matter more than browsing thousands of static screens.
SaaSFrame
SaaSFrame focuses on software companies: website pages, product interfaces and email sequences, with Figma files and desktop and mobile versions. It is $14 a month or $139 a year. It suits teams designing a SaaS marketing site and lifecycle emails together. We found no agent integration on its site.
Pick it if you design SaaS websites and emails in Figma.
Banani references
Banani offers a free set of a few hundred iOS and Android screens from popular apps such as Duolingo, Airbnb and Perplexity, with no sign-up. The library is small and it leads into Banani’s AI UI designer, where you can edit a screen and export it to Figma or HTML. As a free way to look at well-known mobile apps, it does the job.
Pick it if you want free mobile references and don’t need breadth.
Screenrove
Screenrove is ours, so weigh this section accordingly. It is a much smaller library than any of the above, and it only covers desktop web products: Linear, Stripe, Vercel, Notion, Airbnb, Duolingo, Raycast, Figma, Canva and others. It is not a replacement for Mobbin’s mobile coverage.
What it does differently is depth per product and the hand-off to a coding agent. Each collection has the onboarding flow with what happens between screens, connected product screens, full-length marketing pages with section maps, and a design guide measured from the live interface that you can copy as a DESIGN.md file. The MCP server is free and needs no key, so Claude, Cursor, Codex or ChatGPT can search screens, let you pick one in the browser and build from it. Every collection can also be downloaded as a complete ZIP.

Pick it if you build web products with an agent and want a few products documented thoroughly, for free.
When Mobbin is still the right call
If you design mobile apps, need to benchmark across hundreds of companies in one category, or work in a team that shares collections and comments, Mobbin remains the strongest single library. Its paid plans include the MCP server, so it also works with agents. The alternatives win on narrower jobs: Refero on search, Page Flows on motion, SaaSFrame on SaaS marketing and email, Banani and Screenrove on price.
How to choose
- Mostly mobile: Mobbin or Refero. Banani for a free look.
- Mostly web or SaaS: Refero or SaaSFrame for breadth; Screenrove for depth on specific products.
- Building with a coding agent: any library with an MCP server. Mobbin and Refero need a paid plan; Screenrove’s is free.
- Studying how a flow moves: Page Flows.
Whichever you use, the reference only helps if you know what to take from it. Our guide to giving a coding agent useful screenshot references covers that part.
